Beth Simermeyer is a visionary independent board member and former Fortune 250 C-suite leader, distinguished by her impressive track record of accelerating growth and delivering transformational top and bottom-line results, leading large Global P&L’s in the consumer goods, industrial and healthcare sectors. She is an experienced governance leader, currently serving as an independent board director for The Securian Financial Group, a Fortune 500 ($8B) financial services company and ACCO Brands, a public consumer goods company (NYSE:ACCO). She serves on Audit, Finance and two Nominating, Governance and Sustainability Committees.

Beth is best known for her success at changing the growth trajectory of billion-dollar brands and for her future-focused development of exceptional leadership talent.  Throughout her career she has advanced corporate value through unlocking creative solutions, executing notable business transformations and successfully integrating strategic acquisitions. A marketer at heart, Beth has been at the helm of marketing and innovations that build the brand and delight customers. Her experience encompasses large-scale P&L leadership at Fortune 250 companies in the consumer goods, healthcare, and life sciences sectors. Most recently, at Ecolab (NYSE: ECL) a $15B Fortune 250 company, she was EVP, Global Group President Healthcare, and Life Sciences, a $2B global portfolio.

Previously, as Chief Marketing Officer, she built the Ecolab brand and significantly increased digital engagement.

Prior to joining Ecolab, Beth spent 19 years at S. C. Johnson, a $12B privately held global consumer goods company, most recently as SVP for the $2B Home Cleaning portfolio of businesses. Beth started her career at Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG).   Her global experience spans Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with expatriate leadership roles in China and Canada.

Beth is a NACD Certified Director and her impact as an independent board member has been recognized, having been awarded Directorship 100 by the National Association of Corporate Directors (2024), and a Twin Cities Outstanding Director (2024).

She has also lent her expertise and leadership to support organizations dedicated to providing equal access to underserved populations as a board member at the Greater Twin Cities United Way and the PACER Center. 

Beth holds an MBA, Marketing and Strategy from the University of Michigan, and a BA in Political Science from Bates College.
