Maggie FitzPatrick is a highly accomplished global business executive and corporate director. She currently chairs the Vistagen (VTGN) board of directors and serves on the nominating and governance and compensation committees. For An2 Therapeutics (ANTX), she serves on the nominating and governance committee. 

FitzPatrick has deep experience building and strengthening board cultures and optimizing leadership teams for success. In her corporate executive roles, she led teams tasked with building and protecting iconic brands, mergers and acquisitions, driving digital-first engagement, and positioning companies for long-term success by strengthening customer engagement and building stakeholder trust and value.

A sought-after expert on topics related to governance, FitzPatrick has lectured on optimizing for scale, the modern engagement toolkit, CEO succession, human capital strategies, universal proxy, and managing risk in an era of heightened activism. 

In 2023, FitzPatrick completed a three-year appointment as vice chair of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. FitzPatrick holds an MA, Public Policy, from the George Washington University and a BA, English and Public Policy, from Syracuse University. She completed the Harvard Business School board directorship program in 2018. In the spring of 2023, she was named to the faculty of the NACD Board Advisory Services®, an NACD advisory offering that delivers knowledge, insights, best practices, and action plans for directors and boards to ensure they make sound and strategic decisions. She holds the NACD Directorship Certification®.
