

Mary Wagner
Director
Mary K. Wagner is a recognized executive leader and board director with a reputation for creating innovative products, leading research initiatives, managing risks, handling corporate crises, and managing food quality and safety. In December 2016, Wagner retired from Starbucks Coffee Co. as senior vice president of global product innovation, food safety, and quality where she was responsible for creating global food and beverage products for Starbucks’ retail, food service, and consumer packaged goods. Today, she leads MK Wagner and Associates Inc., a provider of solutions in innovation and food safety.
Wagner is currently a member of the board of directors of Premium Brands Holdings (TSX:PRBZF), Griffith Foods International, Jones Dairy Farm, and BlueNalu. Among her many board directorships, she has served as president of the Institute of Food Technologists and founder and chair of the National Grape and Wine Initiative. She was also appointed by the US Secretary of Agriculture as co-chair of the US Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education, and Economics board. She has been a director on the national board of Girls Inc., on the board of the children-focused Red Shield program for the Modesto Corps of the Salvation Army, and for the Yosemite Conservancy. Wagner is currently on the boards of various not-for-profit organizations such as Washington STEM, the Foundation of Transforming Age, and the Seattle 4 Rotary Club.
