Heather Cozart’s career spans more than 20 years in the public company and auditing sectors. She most recently served as partner at FORVIS, LLP, where she led assurance and advisory engagements for private and publicly traded entities, including regional and community banks, asset management companies, specialty finance companies and professional services firms. She is currently an adjunct professor at the Poole School of Management at North Carolina State University.

She currently serves as a board member for Blue Ridge Bankshares, Inc. (NYSE: BRBS) and Blue Ridge Bank, N.A. where she currently serves as the chair of the audit committee and is a member of the enterprise risk committee. She also serves on the board of trustees for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, where she serves as chair of the audit committee and is a member of the people and culture committee.

She graduated from Salisbury State University with a Bachelor of Science with a double major in accounting and business administration. She is also NACD Directorship and Cyber Governance Certified .
