Jonathan Eaton is a Principal in Advisory Services and is a Practice Leader for Grant Thornton’s Business Consulting Practice where he focuses on growth strategy, operating model design and value creation, supply chain strategy and transformation, enterprise cost reduction and value creation, turnarounds, buy and sell side operational diligence, and integration and separation. He brings 27 years of consulting experience advising large multinational companies, middle market companies, and private equity backed portfolio companies across multiple industry sectors. He works extensively with clients to help them understand where unrealized value exists and how to adapt their operating model to unlock value in support of longer-term growth objectives and execution on plans for organic and inorganic growth.
Jonathan has also worked in industry leading the global supply chain for a large multinational company, in management consulting for two Big 4 firms, and as an entrepreneur where he successfully built his own consulting boutique focused on post merger integration with large public companies. He is recognized for helping clients define growth strategies in response to changing market conditions and other disruptive forces and subsequently helping them transform their core operating model and supply chain to provide higher customer satisfaction while balancing inventory and service commitments and minimizing their total supply chain costs with the net effect being EBITDA growth. He has a passion for helping his clients reduce costs and improve working capital efficiency through turnarounds and transformation driven initiatives that deliver near term savings to fund high priority innovation.
Jonathan has extensive experience in consumer and industrial products manufacturing, food and beverage, distribution, oil and gas, automotive (OEM & aftermarket), retail, life sciences, healthcare, and financial services. He also works extensively with private equity groups and their portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Jonathan was an Industry Partner with Chainalytics. Earlier in his career he led global supply chain for IHS and held management consulting positions with Deloitte and Ernst & Young.
