Maria Sastre is the former President and Chief Operating Officer of Signature Aviation, the world’s largest and preeminent aviation network, offering exceptional experiences and essential support services for business, government, and private aviation. Ms. Sastre joined Signature in 2010, and her management experience includes numerous senior executive leadership roles in commercial airlines, the cruise line industry, the non-profit sector, and as a Board Director serving both public and private entities.

Ms. Sastre’s professional board affiliations include past service on the Board of Directors for Darden Restaurants (16 years), Publix Supermarkets (11 years), and Laidlaw International (4 years).  She currently serves on the board of directors of General Mills (6 years), GuideWell Holdings-parent of Florida Blue Health Systems (8-years), O’Reilly Auto Parts (4 years), and the   Miramar Services Corporation- Scripps Family Management Office, (4 years).  Her board expertise includes Chair of Audit, Talent & Compensation, Finance, and the Nominating & Governance Committees of the various boards she has served or is currently serving. Ms. Sastre’s other professional affiliations have included her service on numerous non-profit boards, community boards, and she currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Helios Education Foundation and The Conference Board.
