Michael Marquardt is an experienced entrepreneur, CEO, and corporate director with broad experience serving companies throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States. Marquardt holds the NACD.DC® and CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight, has been an NACD Board Leadership Fellow since 2014, and was on NACD’s Future of the American Board Commission. Marquardt has served on the national board of the American Cancer Society since 2018, including as board chair. Since January of 2011, Marquardt has been an independent director of Commonwealth Trust Company. Marquardt is CEO of biotech start-up Epi One and from 2007 to 2016 was nonexecutive chair of health-care services and logistics company AA International, based in Kuala Lumpur. Marquardt was CEO of Global Kompass Strategies and was cofounder and CEO of the health services company, MediGuide. In January of 2022, President Biden appointed Marquardt to serve on the US Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad.
