In 2010, Robbie founded Automated Insights, recognized as the first Generative AI company of its kind. Under his leadership, Automated Insights pioneered automated content generation for major global brands, transforming how organizations leveraged data to produce personalized narratives. The company was successfully acquired by STATS Inc. in 2015, validating the commercial viability of generative AI technology.

Following this success, in 2017, he co-founded Infinia ML with a group of PhD Data Scientists from Duke.
