Georganne Hodges is an international board director, audit committee chair, former energy chief financial officer, and angel investor. She has more than 37 years of experience working across the energy industry value chain.
Hodges currently serves as an independent director and audit committee member on the board of PBF Energy (NYSE: PBF), one of the largest independent petroleum refiners and downstream operators of unbranded fuels, heating oil, petrochemical and renewable feedstocks, and other petroleum products.
She also serves as an independent director, audit committee chair, compensation committee and nominating and governance committee member of Natural Gas Services Group (NYSE: NGS), a leading provider of natural gas compression equipment to the energy industry.
Additionally, she serves as an independent director, nominating and governance committee chair, and audit committee member of BWC Terminals, a portfolio company of the JPMorgan Infrastructure Investment Fund. BWC is a premier provider of bulk liquid storage and logistics services to manufacturers, refiners, producers, and distributors of bulk liquids in North America. She also serves as an advisor to the CFO cohort of the broader Infrastructure fund.
She previously served on the board and chaired the audit committees of TransAlta Renewables, a Canadian listed renewables developer, and ERM Power, an Austrian listed power and natural gas company. She served on the special committee as both were successfully sold and taken private.
She also serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star, where she currently chairs the nominating and governance committee and is the incoming chair of the board for 2025–27.
Prior to her retirement, Hodges served as executive vice president of Motiva Enterprises, a Saudi Aramco company, where she led the supply, trading, and logistics business. In that role, she was responsible for the safe operation and optimization of the companies midstream assets and integrated supply and trading function. This included a strategic network of crude, products and chemical terminals, pipelines, and marine operations, in addition to the trading function that optimized all hydrocarbons supporting the company’s asset portfolio. She joined Motiva in 2016 as executive vice president and CFO to transform the finance function from one operated by joint venture partner (Shell) to a stand-alone organization supporting a $30 billion enterprise. This transformation included building new governance structures and internal controls along with establishing an investment grade credit rating, a new capital structure, and stand-alone credit facilities.
Prior to joining Motiva, Hodges held the position of CFO with Spark Energy Inc (Nasdaq: SPKE), a publicly traded retail energy company, where she successfully completed the company’s initial public offering in 2014. She began her career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen in 1987. From 1987 to her retirement in 2023, she served in financial and profit and loss accountable roles across the energy value chain.
Hodges is a licensed certified public accountant in Texas and holds NACD Directorship Certification®. She and her husband, James, have three adult children. They reside in Houston and San Antonio, Texas.
